CostShare helps you split expenses with friends and groups. This policy explains what personal data we process, why we process it, and your rights.

Data we process

We process account information (name, email, password hash), expense and group data you enter, and technical logs needed for security and troubleshooting. We do not sell your personal data.

Security

Passwords are stored using strong one-way hashing. Authentication cookies use Secure, HttpOnly, and SameSite attributes where supported. Remember-me tokens are hashed in the database and rotated on use.

Your rights

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data. Download your data or delete your account in Account Settings under Privacy & data.
